Back in the 70's and 80's, neckties for women was taboo. If a women wore one, she'd be called a gay or looked at weird. It is like, "Why are you dressing up as a guy"? That's how people saw women that even dared to wear neckties. Now that things are changing and generations are growing. Neckties women wear are starting to become a trend and very popular. With all the big corporations requiring everyone to wear neckties, it is starting to become less taboo and now it is widely accepted. Police forces, schools and women that go to church are examples of women wearing neckties.
AS you can see, women are getting even more craftier with making their neckties. Making different purses, blouses, bow ties, wallets, belts, backpacks. At least neckties are being misused at all. Crafting a necktie wouldn't be all that hard either, you would have to read a little bit and learn someone who is already experienced in crafting neckties. Many women are crafting in bulk and opening up cute little recycled necktie products and earning pretty good money doing it.
